“When the wicked spring up like grass, and when all the workers of iniquity flourish, it is that they may be destroyed forever. But You, Lord, are on high forevermore. For behold, Your enemies, O Lord, For behold, Your enemies shall perish; all the workers of iniquity shall be scattered. But my horn You have exalted like a wild ox; I have been anointed with fresh oil.”
“The righteous shall flourish like a palm tree, he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. Those who are planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God. They shall still bear fruit in old age; they shall be fresh and flourishing, to declare that the Lord is upright; HE IS MY ROCK, and there is no unrighteousness in Him.” PSALM 92

Perhaps the present operation in the Gaza strip called “Enduring Rock” is no coincidence. There is no rock like our God and nothing can stand against His plan for His people. He has brought them back from all over the world and continues, not to demean them or punish them as some teach, but to restore them to their rightful place, physically and spiritually. Your eyes are seeing the process of this great promise. He is Israel’s protector and defense.

Yesterday, July 15th Israel’s cabinet adopted the Egyptian initiative for a ceasefire and stopped its military operation in Gaza. The terrorists continued, however, launching more than 50 rockets as Israel sat on the sidelines. After 6 hours of non-stop assaults, Israel re-engaged. At 7 PM last night Hamas announced their rejection of the “Egyptian initiative” and increased the shelling. Sirens blasted across Israel in Be’er Sheva, Ashkelon, Tel Aviv metropolis and Dimona where the nuclear reactor of Israel sits. One man was killed (at the same place where we delivered aid to our soldiers) a 37 year old father of three who came to give candy to soldiers.

According to the Israel Defense Force press service the IDF destroyed 1,500 targets including 200 tunnels and terrorist bunkers, 790 hidden rocket launchers and mines, 70 training centers, 70 weapons warehouses and workshops for the production of missiles and other weapons and around 3000 rockets, one third of the terrorist’s arsenal. According to the Gaza Ministry of Health, 200 people have been killed and 1,400 injured.

Just after midnight (early this morning) Israel warned 100,000 Gazans to leave their homes temporarily by 8 AM Israel time this morning (7 hours ahead of EST in the US), 18,000 have left thus far. Although the sirens tapered through the night they now continue again with 6 rockets being fired at Ashkelon a few minutes ago.

It is not known if there will be a ground incursion, however, the soldiers are standing at the ready. I have included a couple more pictures of the soldiers we helped. They are continually drilling for all possibilities.

Today we are planning more trips down to Gaza with aid for other units.

By the way, we found underwear.. can’t remember when I’ve been more excited over BVDs! I just ordered 1000 packages with socks, underwear, t-shirt and a towel.

Tank with socks...

I want to express my deepest appreciation to all who have held this nation up in prayer. The comments and well wishes have been amazing and numbers have sent offerings through our online donation page on our website. For those who have given, your finances all go to the designated place you send it. As you can see, we do not intensely appeal for finances knowing the Lord is able to speak to His children when the needs arise.
I have been instructed by our staff in the US to tell future donors to indicate the ‘wherever needed’ button right now, it will go to the present efforts. Our web master is putting a button called Crisis Relief there in the next couple of days. May the God of Israel bless all of you for your prayers and concern for this nation and the innocent living in harms way on both sides of this conflict.
