God Has an Everlasting Covenant with Them

  • “I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore, I have continued my faithfulness to you.
    Again I will build you, and you shall be built, O virgin Israel!” Jeremiah 31:2-4
  • “But now thus says the Lord, He who created you, O Jacob, He who formed you, O Israel:
    Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you;
    when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you. For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior. ” Isaiah 43:1-3
  • “For you are a holy people to the Lord your God; the Lord your God has chosen you to be a people for His own possession out of all the peoples who are on the face of the earth.” Deut. 7:6
  • “But now hear, O Jacob my servant, Israel whom I have chosen!” Isaiah 44:1
  • “The Lord did not set His love on you nor choose you because you were more in number than any of the peoples, for you were the fewest of all peoples, but because the Lord loved you and kept the oath which He swore to your forefathers… ” Deut. 7:7-8b
  • “And I will establish my covenant between me and you and your offspring after you throughout their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and to your offspring after you. And I will give to you and to your offspring after you the land of your sojournings, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession, and I will be their God.” Genesis 17:7-9
  • “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you.” Jeremiah 29:11-12
  • “Before she was in labor, she gave birth; before her pain came, she delivered a male child. Who has heard such a thing? Who has seen such things? Shall the earth be made to give birth in one day? Or shall a nation be born at once? For as soon as Zion was in labor, she gave birth to her children. Shall I bring to the time of birth, and not cause delivery?” says the Lord. Shall I who cause delivery shut up the womb?” says your God.” Isaiah 66:8-9
  • “Behold, I will gather them from all the countries to which I drove them in my anger and my wrath and in great indignation. I will bring them back to this place, and I will make them dwell in safety. I will rejoice in doing them good, and I will plant them in this land in faithfulness, with all my heart and all my soul.” Jeremiah 32:37&41
  • “For I will take you from among the nations, gather you out of all countries, and bring you into your own land. Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols. I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them. Then you shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; you shall be My people, and I will be your God.” Ezekiel 36:24-28

  • “Your destroyers and those who laid you waste shall go away from you.” Isaiah 49:17b
  • “And those who swallowed you up will be far away.” Isaiah 49:19b
  • “On that day, when all the nations of the earth are gathered against her, I will make Jerusalem an immovable rock for all the nations. All who try to move it will injure themselves.” Zechariah 12:3
  • “And in that day you will say: “O LORD, I will praise You; Though You were angry with me, Your anger is turned away, and You comfort me. ” Isaiah 12:1
  • “Comfort, yes, comfort My people!” Says your God. “Speak comfort to Jerusalem, and cry out to her, that her warfare is ended, that her iniquity is pardoned; for she has received from the Lord’s hand double for all her sins.” Isaiah 40:1-2
  • “Break forth, shout joyfully together, you waste places of Jerusalem; for the LORD has comforted His people, He has redeemed Jerusalem.” Isaiah 52:9
  • “and you shall be to Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.’ These are the words that you shall speak to the sons of Israel” Exodus 19:5-7
  • “But you shall be named the priests of the Lord, they shall call you the servants of our God.
    You shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, and in their glory you shall boast. Instead of your shame you shall have double honor, and instead of confusion they shall rejoice in their portion. Therefore, in their land they shall possess double; everlasting joy shall be theirs.
    ” Isaiah 61:6-7
  • “God will bless (speak good over, and give tangibly) those who understand and bless (speak good over, and give tangibly to) the descendants of Abraham through Isaac and Jacob…Israel”
  • “do not boast against the branches. But if you do boast, remember that you do not support the root, but the root supports you.” Romans 11:18
  • “Because of unbelief they were broken off, and you stand by faith. Do not be haughty, but fear. For if God did not spare the natural branches, He may not spare you either.” Romans 11:20b, 21
  • “For I do not desire, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own opinion, that blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in. ” Romans 11:25
If our God, the God of Israel, loves Israel and has made all these promises, shouldn’t we also love and bless His nation by speaking good over them, by defending them and blessings them in physical ways?
