Olga immigrated to Israel with her husband in 2015, and a year later, they returned to their hometown Mariupol, Ukraine. In 2017, they welcomed a daughter. However, when the war in Ukraine began in 2022, they returned to Israel. For the first year, Olga worked as a cleaner and a caretaker, while also learning the language. In 2023, she enrolled in nursing school. Since then, she has been unable to work full-time, with only 6-9 hours of work per week. Her husband was the only person who supported the family financially.
In November 2024, Olga and her husband divorced. Currently, she does not receive any support from the state as the divorce settlement has not yet been processed by the court. Her income consists of alimony and a small salary. Olga still has 10 months left in her nursing program. Due to these circumstances, Olga started haine serious financial difficulties that affected her ability to afford essential expenses such as rent and food. When she submitted her request, she received a card for 200 shekels, a check, and a commitment of support for 6 months, including cards and checks.
Olga is grateful for the support she has received and expresses her heartfelt thanks.
