Tamara immigrated to Israel on November 26, 2018, from Ukraine. She immigrated with her 17-year-old son, Vladimir, as a single mother.

In September 2019, Tamara was diagnosed with osteoporosis of the hip joint and was prescribed appropriate treatment. In March 2021, she underwent joint replacement surgery and is considered disabled by the national insurance. Tamara’s son was drafted into the army in October 2023, leaving Tamara to face financial difficulties. Approaching retirement age with health issues, Tamara receives a humble pension that does not cover all of her necessary expenses.

MTI assisted Tamara by providing her with brand new clothes and food cards.
