Larisa’s Journey

Larisa came from occupied Crimea, where life had become emotionally overwhelming.

When she arrived in Israel, she said it suddenly felt easier to breathe. The depression and hopelessness that weighed so heavily on her began to lift, replaced by a renewed sense of hope for the future.

A former pediatrician, Larisa worked hard to rebuild her life—learning a new language and starting a new job as a social worker caring for the elderly. Despite her modest income, her faith and perseverance have remained strong.

When financial hardship struck, Larisa reached out to MTI for help—and she received the support she needed at just the right time.
