The third role of Ministry to Israel is to be a voice to the nations regarding the restoration of the nation of Israel and the responsibility of Christians to God’s chosen people. In our time the most important aspect of prophecy, the restoration of the nation of Israel, is happening before our very eyes. God not only wants us to be aware, he wants us to be involved in what he’s doing on the planet.
Before the coming of Jesus the first time God sent John the Baptist with a message to that generation, “Prepare the way of the Lord.”
In our generation there is another voice from Scripture commanding the body of Christ to be involved in preparing His Chosen People for His return. The prophet Isaiah proclaimed:
Go through, Go through the gates! Prepare the way for the people;
Build up, Build up the highway! Take out the stones, Lift up a banner for the peoples!
In the past 1900 years there have been many obstacles placed in the path of the Jewish people. Anti-Semitism, hatred, violence, persecution, to name a few. Unfortunately, it has been historical Christianity creating many of these obstacles. Consequently, the very mention of Jesus or Christianity to modern-day Jews reminds them of their painful past.
It is our conviction that the body of Christ in our generation has been given the responsibility to remove those obstacles. Not by preaching or by classical evangelism, but by acts of kindness in order to show the difference between historical Christianity and the true character of real believers in Jesus.
For over 25 years the director of Ministry Israel, Michael Utterback, has been involved in challenging Christians worldwide to this responsibility. However, this message is not exclusive to Ministry Israel, in fact the Holy Spirit has been speaking to believers in numerous nations around the world. Millions of Christians worldwide are now embracing The message of loving and supporting the nation of Israel.
Through speaking engagements, newsletters, articles, television and radio interviews, etc., MTI serves as a continual voice to the body of Christ regarding the restoration of the nation of Israel.
